Diagnosis
Current method
A diagnosis of FM is made when:
- the ACR criteria have been met;
- the full batch of blood tests have been carried out and a negative result
has been found for each;
- The blood tests are important in eliminating conditions which have similar
symptoms but which can be diagnosed by a positive clinical
blood test, eg underactive thyroid.
