Pain Words

For when Fibro fog takes over - usually when visiting your GP - and you need a word to describe how you are, use these! They are from a booklet entitled 'Target Pain' which has a lot of good information about pain and controlling it. What it feels like:
flickering, pulsing, throbbing, beating, pounding, jumping, flashing, shooting, pricking, boring, drilling, stabbing, sharp, cutting, lacerating, pinching, pressing, cramping, crushing, tugging, pulling, wrenching, hot, burning, scalding, searing, tingling, itchy, smarting, stinging, dull, sore, hurting, aching, heavy, tender, taut, rasping, splitting

How it affects mood:
tiring, exhausting, sickening, suffocating, fearful, frightful, terrifying, punishing, cruel, vicious, killing, wretched, blinding

Its character:
mild, annoying, discomforting, troublesome, distressing, miserable, intense, horrible, unbearable, excruciating.
